Shared Savings: How Tenants and Owners Win Together on Energy Efficiency
This session highlights key energy efficiency technologies and breaks down the “split-incentive” barrier to show how commercial building owners and their tenants can build a shared path towards lower utility costs and increase building value. We will cover successful energy efficiency strategies for building owners and tenants, share examples of success, and overcoming barriers to smart capital investments. Both building owners and tenants are invited to join this session.
Key session takeaways include:
Low and No-Cost Strategies: Identify low-cost, immediate impact actions that can reduce energy consumption without significant investments.
Successful Improvement Strategies: Explore building opportunities, incentives, and case studies of successful retrofits.
Overcoming the Split Incentive: Learn about funding opportunities that will reduce energy-efficiency investments and strategies to share costs and savings of efficient investments
Breaking Barriers: Join a discussion to solve common hurdles to energy efficiency investments and how to turn them into opportunities for shared success.
The event will end at 4:30pm, but workshop presenters and other community resources will be available for questions and conversation until 5pm.
This session is hosted by the EnergySense Resilience Center in collaboration with the Village of Oak Park and Climate Ready Oak Park. To learn more about other sessions in this series, click here: http://www.oak-park.us/EnergySense
